Stoneraise is situated in Cumbria. It is a detached four bedroom property within its own grounds. Stoneraise is located in the small village of Westward within easy reach of the attractions and amenities of Carlisle and Wigton. We aim to ensure that the house reflects that of a ‘family’ home, where young people feel safe, secure and cared for in a none institutionalized setting.
Stoneraise can accommodate up to 4 young people from 8-17 years of age of either gender. The home is a true bungalow therefore all accommodation is on one floor, the home has a lounge, a kitchen-diner, dining room, a family bathroom, four bedrooms two of which are en-suite, and an office, there is a front and back garden with plenty of space to play and relax overlooking fields and countryside.
Each young person has their own bedroom where there is privacy and space to do schoolwork. Young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own space, and we encourage all those who come and live with us to bring their own personal possessions to make their bedroom feel their own and take ownership of their surroundings. The staff team ensure that the environment of the home is maintained to a high standard and young people are encouraged to decorate their bedrooms to their own taste. Young people are encouraged to use the kitchen for the preparation of food and to keep the communal areas tidy. Pictures to be updated shortly.
